Shoe Size:  12
Year's running:  24
Favorite running surface:  trails
Some races I have completed:  LA Marathon, Lone Pine Marathon, OTHTC 50K, Bishop 30K, American River 50
Running achievement I am most proud of:  1st in age group and 7th overall in Bishop 30K after nearly quitting before the halfway point due to pain from neuroma in both feet.
Race I haven't done, but really want to:  Humboldt Marathon - the one I was training for when my back injury occurred.  Well, the Tucson Marathon would be nice, too, because it is all downhill.
Typical training week:  12-16 easy miles, no speedwork………….. yet.
Injury history:  Herniated disk in 1997.  Now that joint is just too flexible, but physical therapy is helping by strengthening the girdle.
Best feature (physical): legs?  I don't know, somebody help me.
Worst feature:  toes
Favorite running foods:  I don't run far enough to need anything to eat, but peanut butter filled pretzels were a favorite when I was running farther.
Favorite running beverages:  for my short distances water works fine.
Things I like most about running:  Downhill.  How I feel after cooldown.  Camaraderie with fellow runners.  The satisfaction after a race when I know I pushed myself about as hard as I could.
What got me started doing races:  The curiosity of how well I can train and endure pain and how I measure up against others.
Why I run:  So I can eat with impunity and because it's a good stress reliever.
Favorite quote:  You are where you are, because you've been where you've been.
