Running/walking achievement I am most proud of: Walking the MAD Dash 5K in 1998 after 7 months of knee problems.
Race I haven't done but really want to: Bay to Breakers.
Typical training week: Walk and run primarily on trails behind home with Bonkers. Don't keep track of mileage. Just go for 30-40 minutes a day.
Injury history: Staph infection in knee that led to 4 arthroscopic surgeries to remove scar tissue and a year of therapy.
Best feature (physical): Upper arms.
Worst feature: Thighs.
Favorite running/walking foods: Don't have any.
Favorite running/walking beverages: Water.
What I like most about running/walking: Getting out early every morning whatever the weather.
What got me started doing races: Friendships and competing with myself.
Why I run/walk: It's a good way to start out the day and control my weight.
